I belive dereks mail is paranoid and slander (like it, itself states) But as you explicitly ask me about the CC, heres my oppinoin The CC has been involved in both Paul leaving as well as Nicolas largely stoping contributing. Thats a significant loss to the project While at the same time the CC did not take effective action against Multiple other people Just this whole thread should not exist in this form if the CC was working Ill reply to the rest of the mail seperatly as its a different subject resigning from the CC would make sense if i made decissions in the CC that caused paul to leave, nicolas to become less active or derek to post this mail here. Or maybe would be protecting someone who did something nefarious. But i did not. In the recent cases that where between me and a 2nd party i was neither involved in discussion nor votes and also do not know the conclusion the rest of the CC reached, as the CC did that discussion without me (if such a discussion did occur) Also i looked back at thilo things from the CC, two issues that where reported related to thilo and NAB had only 3 CC members reply. And no it was not 3 agreeing and having some majority. I think the CC needs to become more transparent and accountable. Also i think its very important to mention here, the most effective actions the CC members took have always been by individuals acting quickly. Once teh CC starts voting and discussing penalties and warnings things have already gone bad. and "effective" here in this context means both sides of a "discussion" end up being happier than before. thx [...] -- Michael GnuPG fingerprint: 9FF2128B147EF6730BADF133611EC787040B0FAB If you drop bombs on a foreign country and kill a hundred thousand innocent people, expect your government to call the consequence "unprovoked inhuman terrorist attacks" and use it to justify dropping more bombs and killing more people. The technology changed, the idea is old.
