I have been using ext2 for as long as I've being a Linux user, (about three years) >From mdk-8.1 beta 1 on, I totatally switched to ext3, all partitions... and I am happy with it. When moving files from a another hdd, I noticed increased speed on large files... but decreses in small files when transfering.
