Hi.
I have started upgrading some of the linux boxes at work and have
come across an interesting problem. Booting up the LM 8.0 install
CD has worked on only about half the machines so far.
The interesting thing is that the machines that booting actually
worked on had the cdrom as the secondary slave. If the cdrom
was the secondary master, it would crash during the second stage.
Here is what I see:
Please wait: Trying to access a CDROM disc (drive LTN526S)
>Error! Could not open compressed ramdisk file
(/tmp/image/Mandrake/base/mdkint_stage2.bz2).
(press <enter> to proceed)
error in exec of stage 2 :-(
FATAL ERROR IN STAGE 1: No such file or directory
Does anyone have a quick fix for this (without me having to open
the box)?
