Yes, that's right - /apps/evolution/addressbook/sources is the name of the key, i.e. the path to the key 'sources' is in the left hand column (/apps/evolution/addressbook) and the name of the key is under the name column on the right hand side. If you click on 'sources' you will see at the bottom that it's listed as the key name. There are further sublevels of keys under addressbook, that's why there are more things listed. > > So I can't figure out how to continue with > > "and edit > it manually to point to the right places." > Right click on 'sources' and select "Edit key...". When the Edit Key window comes up I suggest you make it as wide as possible because the key values are very lengthy! This particular key contains a list of values and to make things even more confusing, each list element is an XML blob. What you are looking for are elements that have as part of them the stanza 'name="On This Computer"' - you should have two (or more) of them. You need to delete (i.e. click on Remove at the right hand side) the ones you don't want - I *think* the values are in the order they are displayed in Evo so that should give you a clue which ones to remove. Click on OK to save the key. Now go and do the same for the calendar. If you just need to remove the value, this is the easiest way. If you need to edit the value, then it is painful to deal with these large XML blobs through the built in editor because it only gives you about a 10 character window on the whole string. Simple edits should be OK, but complex edits you need to copy the value to another editor and play with it there, then copy it back. Statutory small print: Fiddling with gconf can break things, think what you are doing and check before clicking OK. Make sure Evo is shut down completely before doing this otherwise it will just re-write the bad gconf settings back when it shuts down.
