Chinese automaker BYD claims to have developed an EV battery that can charge at a full megawatt. They also say they'll build a Chinese network of 1mW chargers for their cars fitted with the battery.
The cells can accept 10C (10 times the amp-hour capacity expressed in amperes) and the battery is 1000 volts nominal. BYD EVs using the battery will be able to add 400km (!) of range in a 5- minute charge. https://insideevs.com/news/753913/byd-ev-one-megawatt-charging/ That's a downright unsettling amount of power.
