Well, #1 is cost. NACS handles more current, has always been liquid cooled, is more reliable, and easier to replace. There's such a HUGE difference it's really worth changing all the EVs and having to deal with some EVs needing adapters until change is complete. It was an SAE mistake to standardize something as clunky as CCS1 in the US when there was already a superior standard. Designed-by-committee-itus!
I think Elon Musk is a sh*head, but good engineering is good engineering, it's now an SAE standard, Tesla has nothing to do with it. Ask a little old lady trying to handle a CCS cable vs a NACS cable! A horse and buggy "worked fine" for most people at the time. Does that mean we should stop innovating?
