Hello EV experts,

I recently rented a 2019 Tesla model 3 standard plus with about 45k miles in
Honolulu. I have 2 questions about its performance.
1. I thought it should have enough range to travel around the island a couple
days without recharging but instead had to recharge each day. The first day
recharged from 9% to 80% took 32kW. Why so little range?
2. Using the superchargers at Aiea, the stalls are shared. The first day the
top recharge speed was about 75kW but mostly closed to 50-55kW with the pack
preconditioned. Why so slow?
Is something wrong with this Tesla?
Also it’s unnerving driving with only the percent gauge for range, no odometer
visible during driving or charging (info probably blocked by the media stream
from my daughter’s iPhone). Too use to seeing miles and proper charge summaries
on thre dash in my 250mpc Kia Niro of the same age. And expected much more when
driving around an island with under 100 miles up and back. What gives?

Thanks,
Ed
