How does it work out if you want to visit small towns, on vacation ? My last
observation was that small towns and villages don't have fast charging. That's
probably ok, as long as you can get high amp 230V where you're staying. Is that
level of infrastructure present yet ?

I know you're kidding; it's not proportional that way.  But there's some
truth to what you say.

Big cities are crowded everywhere, including here.  We have lots of
countryside, but not the wide open, soimetimes desolate, spaces of the US
west / southwest / midwest. So our pop density is higher. The US is 35
people per square km and France is 118 per square km.

Looking locally, in Ohio we lived among 108 people per square km.  Here it's
only 68 people per square km.

In Ohio, our nearby medium city was 30 minutes way by car, and the somewhat
larger city was 45 minutes away.  Here it's 20 min and 50 min respectively.
So not much difference.

It can be tough to get by here in "the provinces" without a car.  That's
part of what the yellow vest protests were about, if you remember those.

However, we have pretty good rail service once we get to a major train
station.  So for most people, EV charging is less of a factor on long trips.

I tried donating blood today.  Never again!  Too many annoying
questions.  Whose blood is it?  Where did you get it?  Why is
     it in a bucket?
