I could have sworn that the thunderstruck EVCC and J1772 inlet kit would also work with the Elcon chargers...you might send them an email or call them.....


The TSM2500x2 is another possibility - but I've seen some people saying that 
doing 2 in parallel doesn't always work well.

I've done two in parallel. It works basically fine (with proper access to cooling air), the only real annoyance was having to wire up the "Y" cables to put them in parallel on both the AC and DC side, it felt like a lot of time spent wiring, plus you need to buy two different sized lugs (one for single cables, one for paired cables), and you get a lot of extra wire around the chargers which makes things look more complicated...

The dual charger setup works just fine, but are not perfectly balanced, so one charger provides more power than the other one once the total draw is below the combined maximum of the chargers...this doesn't really have any serious negative effect except one charger is slightly warmer than the other one...

I also had to add in air ducts directly to the intakes of both chargers (they were inside an box with only the top open and didn't get enough airflow in Atlanta summers and would shut down due to overheating after an hour or so....but after I did that I haven't had overheating issues....)

Having a single charger simplifies wiring and any cooling solutions, and if I were doing it again I'd probably go with a single charger and pay extra...

With the Dual TSM2500 you only get 4.4 kWh as opposed to a true 6.6......but for my use 4.4 is plenty fast, and the cost savings back in 2015 were significant.

So I don't regret going with the paired TSM2500's.....but I'd probably spend a little extra and buy a single larger charger if I were doing it again.

[OR, given the large battery pack in your friends truck...consider a single TSM2500.....only 2.2 kW charge rate, but unless you are going on long trips that you need to come back from quickly, you can still get 24 kWh overnight.....and it's a lot cheaper and easier to wire up. Depends upon if cost or charging speed is more important.]
