You don't really need the Juicebox, just one of their 12kW chargers and a NEMA 14-50 outlet will give you ~10kW charging. You would need 3 phase power to get full power from one of their 25kW chargers, chademo Juicebox or no. Not available at most residential sites, and probably difficult to get an apartment complex owner to let you connect to it if they have it on site.
I built one of the 12kW units a few years ago when they were selling them as kits. I've used it for hundreds of charges, both at home from a NEMA 14-50, at public EVSEs, and at a few RV parks (NEMA 14-50). Limited to about 7kW of course from public EVSEs. It saved me a few times when I came home late in the afternoon with the battery pack depleted from a long trip and my wife said "hey, you want to go to this performance this evening?" Just plug it in and crank it up to 10kW. Ready to go in an hour. -- View this message in context: http://electric-vehicle-discussion-list.413529.n4.nabble.com/Using-the-L3-port-to-charge-your-EV-at-10kW-off-a-50A-dryer-outlet-tp4681258p4681282.html Sent from the Electric Vehicle Discussion List mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ UNSUBSCRIBE: http://www.evdl.org/help/index.html#usub http://lists.evdl.org/listinfo.cgi/ev-evdl.org Read EVAngel's EV News at http://evdl.org/evln/ Please discuss EV drag racing at NEDRA (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NEDRA)
