Was shocked to hear that the Postal Service gets an average of 7 MPG in the
delivery of mail.



At first, I couldn’t see how those little jeeps can be so poorly designed,
and then I realized that the average daily use is 28 miles with 500 stops
over a span of several hours, during which the engine is running 100% of
the time (and hardly going anywhere)..



Duh, it’s a no brainer to switch that to EV’s!  Yes, the range would suffer
since the AC would be running all the time, but heck, the existing vehicles
don’t even have AC!



The original thought of this post was the tremendous market for even simple
CONVERSIONS of those jeeps to simple EV’s, with the cost paid for in real
time by the gas savings…  Till I realized that 18 miles a day also is only
5500 miles a year, but still, at 7 MPG that is $2700 a year…
