This one you sent me to get is looking good. If I can get the supports off it, it is about 1/3rd of the way up the splines now and everything is looking better than ever, so I think my theory is proving itself. MicroSwiss recommended higher temps for TPU. and I tried from 210 to 225, getting freezeup plugs in the heat break even with no retraction set. So it seemed to me that it was running hot enough to allow the liquified plastic to run back up into the heat break. So I started this build at 205, dropping it to 200 at about the end of the first layer, then 2 degrees a layer lower until I was down to 194C. No problems, no filament starvation even at 125% speed. Where 100%=25 ipm. And I am learning, even if this roll of TPU is badly undersized sized junk. It will be done in about an hour, looking as smooth as silk. Stuck tight to the glass, and probably very difficult to cut the supports from, as TPU sticks to itself very well, but is otherise a perfect print, splines better formed even when conpared to a PLA version. With a slather of coconut oil on the splines and inner face for lube, should be plenty slick. I'll probably make 3 of them and put one in all that I've built so far. Next problem? Getting a decent grip on the motor shaft as its only a 5mm shaft. And PLA has proved its not sturdy enough in one bearing carrier already.
