Andy, Did you run this through FEA Stress analysis? It only takes about 15 minutes and will tell you if the flexibility is evenly disturbed and maybe help locate a failure point.
This is one of the neat features of Fusion 360 but unfortunately the system assumes your material is uniform and printed parts tend to have a solid skin and less dense core. But even so, the FEA paints the most stress areas in red. It might be best to print this in ABS.
