there is actually mounting wax that is made for this purpose. Its a hard wax that melts at about 200F. I have used it to mount non-ferrous metals to a steel fixture for surface grinding. We have also used it to mount glass for cylindrical grinding. If needed, it cleans up with acetone. I'm using CA glue right now, the wax is a little tricky. I want to go back to the wax, CA is a pain to clean up, whereas the wax can be remelted and reused. The best CA for this purpose is loctite 425, which is called a thread locking compound. Eric
