That sounds neat Kirk, and a hair dryer can supply the heat, I like that as I already have the milled flat wooden (and insulating) jig clamped up. So the question then is what kind of wax? Paraffin would soften a bit fast come summer heat IMO. Beeswax perhaps? Nice & sticky, takes a bit more heat IIRC.
