Not only gantry machines, but basically any machine with non-trivial
kinematics. Take hexapod as an example - jogging only one of the
joints will try to break the machine.
IMHO jogging in joint mode is not needed in normal operation of
machine - joint mode is for homing only, thus I think this INI file
setting is ideal solution - if there are some problems (some damage to
construction or whatever), when particular joint needs to be jogged
separately, operator can close EMC2, set this parameter to 0 in INI
file and then solve the issue.
I have a noob question - what do I have to do with the patch to apply it?
