Not sure I understand this -- it seems related to TOC.

There seems to be a certain way to setup y Org Manour Org file to get a
non-blank Outline slide, but I'm not sure what the incantation is.  My
Outline slide is not blank now.

Hmm. The Org Manual is unclear, then.

Interesting.  Perhaps, if you want, this could be added to the Tutorials
section of orgmode.org/worg...?
