I agree that it would be nice to be able to set a combination of keys
as the host key, but I find it hard to believe that there is no single
key on the keyboard that you do not use on a regular basis.  Do you
often use the Print Screen button, for example?

At least VirtualBox *lets* you change it.  There doesn't appear to be
any way to change the hotkey combination with vSphere 4.
