Once we/a volunteer decides to package for a particular distro, how to keep up this maintenance....it's an issue. What we are doing with respect to Linux distribution is perfectly fine in my opinion, but it's sad it is not fine for others. Some distros make it very difficult for the typical Linux end user to install anything NOT in the distro's repository.
