Then it progresses to where I cannot open one of the tabs in the ss notebook. It is completely unavailable.
You should open a bug report like the one above and attach your file to it. Don't worry about the many fields, we can set them appropriately later. It's important to have a good title, a good description and your file (if there are confidential data, please remove them from the file: our bug reporting system is public).
