Hi Vandana,
You don't necessarily have to use IEGD with Moblin. You can use Moblin 2.1 with
the open source vesa driver - a standalone image w/o IEGD driver is available
for download as well.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
ishu

Subject: RE: [Moblin Dev] Enabling Frame buffer in moblin2 ivi image.

Thank you Mr Verma, As you suggested I was able to edit the grub.conf file from
the command line.

But I realised that it seems to be the second step, the main issue here is, Im
using an Intel Atom board having GMA 500 chipset on which there is a moblin 2.1
image(fedora 12 based) and it has only an Intel Embedded Graphics Driver and to
bring up the frame buffer I need an additional frame buffer driver.

Can someone please suggest which driver can used to enable the frame buffer ,
which supports both the GMA 500 chipset as well as the moblin OS which is
fedora 12 based.

Thanks in advance.
Vandana
