[~cpoerschke], IMO we should definitely aim at releasing it in 5.5, since we
have to deprecate the {{<mergePolicy>}} stuff in {{solrconfig.xml}}. So let's
mark this issue as a Blocker for 5.5. I suspect 5.5 will take a while,
especially if it's supposed to be the last 5.x release before 6.0, cause a lot
of stuff will need to be properly deprecated. Anyway, I think we're close and
can probably finish this one by next week.
