Following the latest community guidelines, I would like to start a voting thread on removing the JSON spec for content file and file scan task. Here is the PR for the spec change [1]
This was previously discussed in the dev mailing list [2]. While it is good to add the JSON serializer in iceberg-core for ContentFile and FileScanTask, their JSON formats don't need to be added to the core table spec. Please vote in the next 72 hours.
