I would suggest zu just merge https://github.com/apache/directory-studio/pull/102 (which updates MINA to 2.1.10) and release that as 2.0. This should bring usable TLS 1.3 support (at least that works for me and my colleagues for over a year now without issues), so we do not look silly with a 2.0 release that does not support it in 2026.
Sounds good to me.
I could also send a PR to support building for ARM on Linux and macOS (APP + DMG) if you like, concerns pom.xml, build.sh and createDMG.sh only.
Please do!
Then update MINA to the latest version in a patch release wherever it's ready.
This is where it's getting complicated (or at least there is some work to be done).
I have spent quite some time trying to understand how the tycho plugin is doing its sauce, and frankly, it's not exactly easy. We need to clarify what is to be done when upgrading some major components with many dependencies.
Otherwise I'm not exactly concerned with the various CVE found in ldAP api AND mina, simply because Studio is expected to be used as a client, not as a server, so I'm good to get a 2.0 released asap and keep going starting from there with the next release.
