My recommendation at this time is that it becomes a committee, complete with requirements to produce either monthly or quarterly board reports. One such mechanism is that it becomes a PMC. Another is that it becomes a president's committee. There are early talks about this group having a budget and hiring a vendor. The organizational structure chosen should be one that enables that.
