I'm not sure how useful this is to you, but I just started a thread on infrastruct...@apache.org with the subject "ASF DNS pointing to non-ASF machines". It happens that I am involved with another project in a similar predicament, and I would like to get some additional clarity on the policy. If there's anything that seems relevant I will loop back to this thread.
