Gabriele: Yes, the idea is to make it light-weighted. However, I may add: it would be nice (for us all) to use a framework which the community feels comfortable with.
I'm trying to find a balance between features and footprint, having a small footprint is very important, but also, we want something scalable for adding features on next versions of the UI.
