I don't know if it's pingable (don't have a machine to test with), but the music player daemon (mpd) keeps running even though X is hung. I'll set up a machine to ssh. How do I backtrace? **The mouse doesn't work. Correction: The mouse DOES work; it just has no effect (that is I can move it, but clicking does nothing, nor does keyboard input, including VT switch) Also, it seems to be affecting screensavers other than the two I mentioned (GL ones of course). I think it may be a problem to glx on this machine generally, rather than only with the terminal thing; that was probably just coincidence. -- And that's my crabbing done for the day. Got it out of the way early, now I have the rest of the afternoon to sniff fragrant tea-roses or strangle cute bunnies or something. -- Michael Devore GnuPG Key Fingerprint 86 F5 81 A5 D4 2E 1F 1C http://gnupg.org No more sea shells: Daniel's Weblog http://cshore.wordpress.com
