You are presenting me with an ultimatum: accept your patch or else. You do not appear to feel there are any grounds upon which you will change your mind. This is not a sound basis for a rational discussion. Neither are your assertions that I "must" remove features from XTerm simple because I have made observations about its historical development. You'd get along famously with Eduard Bloch, who argues the same way. This bug will be fixed when upstream fixes it, or when a patch that upstream is comfortable with is submitted.
