I used to run fglrx (on my previous AMD GPU, which I believe was on my previous computer), but haven't done so in some while. In this case I was/am planning to run the 5700 using the 'amdgpu' driver, i.e. as close as possible to a fully open stack given the hardware. I believe Phoronix has reported test results with that model based on that driver which should be more than sufficient performance for my needs. -- The Wanderer The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
