When updating an even slightly neglected OS, I _never_ go straight to full-upgrade. # aptitude safe-upgrade followed by # aptitude full-upgrade Of course, theer could still be problems that you have to fix as suggested. But try that first, and do it in at least two steps anyway. Lisi
