How did you install KDE? There are multiple KDE packages and it's not
obvious which one to install. The two main ones are kde-full, which
gives you most of the KDE applications, and kde-standard, which has
fewer applications. I believe the package names have changed since
Squeeze so if you are running Squeeze, you may need to install different
packages.
apt-get install kde-full will take a long time, but should give you
everything you want.
