As it is said on the 2nd link, "full duplex means that the sound card can make sound and receive sound at the same time". It's the same thing defintion as for a network ethernet card in fact. I was sure that playing two sources simultaneously was a thing you could do only with a full duplex card, because that's what I was told during my classes. As I haven't got a non-full duplex card, I couldn't werify that. But all the replies make me believe I was wrong on this point. I got confused about mixing and full duplex terms, but again, I don't know if a simple card can play two sources at a time.
