I think this one was dropped quite a long time ago for full support when
we were considering what the baseline should be for "686" (which Debian
for legacy reasons refers to as the i386 - the threshold has crept over
the years.)

This might be another case where the world might thank you if you disposed
of the hardware and got something more modern and performant. 64 bit
systems have now been around a _long_ time.
