I was using "disease" in a humorous way, not intending to fall down the
trap of diagnosing real psychological disorders in people I only know
via the mailing list. In particular, I often find that my impression of
people changes dramatically, for both better or worse, when I meet them
in real life.
I think a more accurate description of *my* tendency to respond
excessively and repetitiously is "being a childish asshole", but
YMMV.
