This is a very good question. Don, seriously, if there is something I could go and implement or fix in upstart that would convince you, that would be a lot easier and more fun than arguing on the internet. It might also demonstrate how easy it is to work on. (NB at the time of writing I have not looked at the upstart code other than to glance at a couple of screenfuls' worth to estimate the code density when I did a wc.)
