This was tagged as debian/1.149 despite the fact we've been using the version number without a debian/ prefix since forever for d-i packages, which has been recorded in (almost, see recent commits in network-console and systemd-boot-installer for outliers) all repositories via debian/gbp.conf; that is (and was at the time debian/1.149 got tagged) the case for this package, so it would be best if whatever tooling is used (dgit apparently) would respect that… Having to deal with mixed and matched tags isn't ideal, be it for humans or scripts.
