One thing you might otherwise miss:
Recently a string in utilities/dbootstrap/lang/english.src was changed,
and the corresponding string in utilities/dbootstrap/lang/chinese.src
should be changed too:
english.src:
<hint>en - Choose this and press Enter to proceed in English.</hint>
Current chinese_s.src:
<hint>zh - 您选择了简体中文。请按 Enter 键继续安装</hint>

I use emacs to edit the sgml files (just copy the directory
documentation/en to documentation/zh_CN).
I recommend that you add a line at the top of each SGML file to remember
which version of the original English file you have translated. This
will help later updates considerably. If you use the following format,
the script doc-check will show you any changes in the corresponding
English file since that version:

<!-- original version: 1.91 -->
