You might want a Chinese-rules handicap stone to have the same value as a Japanese-rules handicap stone. But as things stand, it doesn't - N handicap stones are worth N more points at the end of the game in a Chinese game than in a Japanese game. So you can adjust for this by deducting N from Black's score at the end of a Chinese game.
