For a few $$ more one can build a really nice adjustable reefing system on the boom end. Install a short piece of T-track and either a Ronstan RF990 or RF984 sliding cheek block. Attach with 1/4 machine screws. For a second reef one can add a second cheek block or slide the single one.
I've got this on Touche' and it works fine. It's particularly nice if you have different main sails (racing and cruising) with the reefing cringles in slightly different locations fore and aft on the two sails. Dennis C. Touche' 35-1 #83 Mandeville, LA
