I am in pretty much the same weather pattern as you Richard, and we have had some very high water levels in Kettle Creek, but last weekend did turn out to be a pretty good one on Lake Erie. We had the 50th running of the L.E.I.R. (Lake Erie International Race) from Port Stanley to Ashtabula on Friday, a distance of 49 nautical miles. Conditions were well nigh perfect for the race, with 10 - 15 knots of wind somewhere between a close reach and a close haul all the way across. There were 32 boats in all, with C&Cs and Tartans being the most represented manufacturers, but I think that C&C had a slight edge numerically. I won a hat and a bottle of Mount Gay, for getting a third in my fleet. As usual we had a good time partying with our friends at AYC on Saturday. There was not enough wind to complete the Childs Cup race back to Port Stanley on Sunday. There was a clear sky overhead, but an odd haze on the lake, which we later found out to be smoke from all the forest fires out west.

I have not been able to get into my dock because it has been under water.... Sooo; I was wondering if anyone has any good boating stories or getting much sailing time in?
