Joel, Most sporting goods stores and camping supply outfits has some good robust kits for a fraction of the “marine” prices. How detailed a set will depend on you and the requirements. I have a pretty good set on board which I got for under $100, but I don’t go more than a few miles offshore and don’t see myself as someone who could do any major first aid beyond the basics.
Having a nurse on board is a major benefit. It would be wise to ask her what items she would need on board in case something happens and then pick a kit based on that. All the best, Edd Edd M.
