That's good to know, Ed. On our cruise last summer we had the iPad out on the bridgedeck plugged into the stereo at the nav station via USB and the stereo could barely keep up. It doesn't sound like this particular unit will be much of an upgrade. Though it could be handy up in the v-berth to have the i-gadgets (and anchor alarm) close by while sleeping.
