Edd, I think that Fred is correct. I haven’t measured my original pedestal recently but I’m pretty sure that it is the 6-7/8” version that came standard. The only reason I think this is because I have a entire new 8” pedestal in my shed as replacement and I seem to recall having to buy a converter to allow the smaller diameter compass to be used.
