If you use snubbers on your bow and stern lines, it will lessen the shock when 
the boat bounces around. I use them, but none on the spring line, as there is 
enough stretch in the three-strand nylon I'm using. The spring line on my boat 
is tied from the dock cleat to the stern mooring line cleat. If you're also 
springing in the other direction, use your bow mooring line cleat.
