I have an "extra" hole in the bottom of the attachment hardware for my main
boom at the mast. A couple of shackles attached to
that has worked for me for many years. Not as slick as a mast track and
associated hardware, but it does work. Take a look at what
your goose neck attaches to on the mast. You may have a similar attachment
point available. I purchased a ring thing to bolt on to
the front of the mast, but I got used to the shackle solution and never saw the
need to drill more holes in the mast. If you were
going to use the pole for a spinnaker, as opposed to just poling out the genoa,
then that would be a different story.

Subject: Stus-List C&C 33 1985 How to attach Heavy Duty Whisker Pole to mast

I purchased a Heavy duty Forespare whisker pole. I believe i have a place for
track on the front of the mast. However, the slot
has plastic all the way up the mast. Does anyone have an recommendations on
attaching this pole? Is there a way to put a track
on the mast? If so how do you do it and what track would i purchase? Any and
all help is greatly appreciated.
