All, This may seem like an odd question, but I don't know anything about engines (hence why I sail).
The Enterprise has a Universal Diesel, which runs great, but I hate the location of the panel. It's low in the cockpit and faces forward so if you're driving, you can't see the RPMs, temperature, etc. You also need to be either crouched over or on your knees to hold the glow plug button and the starter button. I'd like to, probably next year, replace and move the panel to another location. So here's the question: Does it have to be a Universal panel? There are smaller ones out there by other manufacturers. Are the connections for the gauges universal? All the best, Edd Edd M. Schillay Starship Enterprise C&C 37+ | Sail No: NCC-1701-B City Island, NY Starship Enterprise's Captain's Log Website
