Re: mounting the radar and display Take a look at the cabling requirements. My old radar has a thick cable between the antenna and the display. If the newer models still have the big cables running it through the mast then aft to the binnacle gets awkward.
Check out NavPod products. PYI has carried them in the past. If they still do their web site offers size and mounting info. Calypso's have protected the binnacle mounted multi-function display through some nasty weather.
