Yea I just got off the phone their going to send another out today, charge me
for it and refund the charge when they get the bent one back. I won't see it
before next Wednesday or Thursday, based on this item's shipping time. I really
fault the packaging. There was no protection at all for the piece in the box
and the box is all beat up. Those guys throw the packages so, one toss,
landing right on that mount, corner of the mount digs into the plywood floor of
the truck, that's a bend. I could take it somewhere and have it bent back but,
I'm not doing it...it'll probably kink.It is a major disappointment...I was
going to mount it tomorrow while still on the hard...now I'll have to mount it
while afloat...that sucks and they offer me nothing for my inconvenience!

Danny: 1. It's very unusual that it's damaged. 2. The Binnacle does a huge
amount of i'net business. There is a small but significant amount of fraud and
they have learned to be cautious. Nothing personal, simply good business
practise. 3. Sorry about the unfortunate inconvenience. Crap happens.

Well, I received the ladder yesterday and it is damaged... The packaging was
ridiculous! Basically, the thing was covered in a plastic bag and stuffed into
a flattened cardboard box with no type of anything to protect the item. So I
write, they ask me to email pictures, i'm not at home til tonight, which means
they won't get the pics till Monday...that IS BS! They should be overnighting
a ladder right now! ...Or, am I off base here?Danny

Hi Rich,
Thanks for having a look.
So now I see, the 5 step will allow the bottom step to be well below the
surface. Good thing.
I had to get my head around the Binnacle site images... the detail ones are
upside down!

Also: I'd get the 5 step unit for any boat over 27 ft or so. Easier to use.

Hi Rich,
You might want to have a look at the 4 step model too. It may be more
appropriate for Danny's boat (size = 33').
