It works fine for my on Ubuntu as a regular user.  The likely problem is
that the path that is used to save the mirrored sites into.  On my machine
this defaults to the websites folder in my home directory, I am not sure
how it is done on Crunchbang.  There might be an /etc/httptrack.conf file
that may help.  Otherwise check the website as there is the FAQ and
documentation is pretty decent.
